How Many Ads Should You Run in Search Arbitrage?

When starting search arbitrage, figuring out how many ads to run is key. The answer is more than 10 campaigns a day.

This answer and the below information are from my personal experience as an experienced Search Arbitrage Media Buyer. Let’s explore why and what else matters for success.

Running More Than 10 Campaigns a Day

In search arbitrage, volume is essential. Running 10 or more campaigns daily boosts your chances of finding winners. Not every ad will do well, so you need a variety to see what sticks.

Here are some other things that you should keep in mind,

  • Diversify Your Ad Categories
  • Focus on Optimization
  • Know When to Cut Your Losses
  • Testing vs. Scaling
  • Avoid Trending Topics

Diversify Your Ad Categories

For better success, your 10+ campaigns should span different categories. Focusing on one niche limits your options. Spread your budget across various topics to find the best performers.

Focus on Optimization

Launching ads is just the start; optimization is where the real money is made. Watch which ads get clicks and conversions. If an ad isn’t doing well, tweak it or try new versions.

Know When to Cut Your Losses

Not every campaign will be profitable. Quick decision-making is critical.

If a campaign doesn’t show promise after 2-3 days, it’s time to pause or stop it. Facebook usually takes about 3 days to optimize and show meaningful data. But this can vary by geo, audience, and ad type.

Testing vs. Scaling

At first, focus on testing different ads. Once you find 1-3 winners, scale them up. Running more than 10 ads is key to finding these gems to invest in.

From my side, I try to maintain a 50/50 ratio, 50% I test and 50% I scale!

Avoid Trending Topics – Stick to Universal Ones

Chasing short-lived trends is a common mistake. While they might bring quick profits, they disappear fast, often in one or two weeks. Instead, aim for evergreen, universal topics for more stability and long-term gains.

Final Thoughts

To succeed in search arbitrage, you must run more than 10 campaigns a day. Test various categories, optimize constantly, and quickly drop underperforming ads.

Avoid fleeting trends and focus on proven universal topics. The quicker you test and refine, the faster you’ll find profitable campaigns.
