Google Deindexing AI Websites: March 2024 Core Update

There is a massive change happening right now after the March 2024 core update from Google. After releasing ChatGPT there are so many AI tools got released and there is a massive amount of sites opening with massive amounts of content.

Google has said before that AI content is publishable but it should be a quality article means it should match the user’s needs. But there are so many people on this online platform who have published a massive amount of content on their sites using AI.

Some bought expired domains to get the authority of the domain and then published thousands of content daily.

Some of those sites were getting massive amounts of traffic but now Google has taken action for some of those websites. Now Google is deindexing those sites properly.

Not a single piece of content is online from those AI Websites.

Google March 2024 Core Update

This update has started rolling out from 5 March 2024 and it will take up to 1 month. You can check the status of this update here.

This update has been taken mainly focusing on the AI sites as I can see the effects on some AI websites.

Why Google is Deindexing Sites?

This is because Google always says that users are their priority. After AI got the eyes of people there are so many websites on the internet that started publishing massive amounts of content on their websites.

But most of them don’t have the quality to satisfy the users. Webmasters are focusing on SEO more than users’ experience.

So after seeing all the things happening online, Google may have taken this decision to deindex the websites who has published massive amounts of content and filled Google’s database with rewritten content.

What To Do Now?

Now we should focus on maintaining the quality of the content and publishing content that will satisfy and fulfill the user’s needs. SEO is important but only SEO may not give you results.

You should focus on publishing quality content and then optimize it for the search engine.
